Hotel Review: Rosewood Abu Dhabi

RWAmain

As one enters the Al Maryah Island development of Abu Dhabi, it is clear that this is the center of the biggest and best luxury experiences the city has to offer at the moment. The development is marked by massive skyscrapers, a chic mall and everything trending in the high society of the UAE. It is easy to see why Rosewood hotels have placed their Abu Dhabi property here at the center of unforgettable living.

In a competitive market like the UAE one expects to find good service, but it can truly be said that Rosewood Abu Dhabi offers an above and beyond stay whether one is visiting for just one night or several weeks. The training of the staff and the elegance at every turn are what truly make this hotel exceptional. From the first moment to the last, staff go out of their way to make sure all your needs are met, that the room is just how you like it and that you will want to come back soon. The elegance is noticeable in that furnishings, decor and artwork are eclectic, and the style doesn’t just cater to older notions of opulence that rely on heavy gold plating and white marble.

Location:

First off the hotel enjoys a beautiful situation. It is just steps from the fashionable Galleria mall and the central pedestrian space of Sowwah Square. The views extend over turquoise waters which look out over other islands and the cityscape of Abu Dhabi. The hotel has an equal feeling of enjoyment for business or leisure.

Rooms: Overall there are 189 Rooms and Suites. There are also apartment residences on site as well, these are recommended for a lengthy stay. The rooms make the most of traditional designs and amenities interwoven with all the trimmings of a spacious 21st century technology interface. There is an integrated iPad control system, plush comfortable beds with Egyptian linen, Villeroy and Boch bathtub and abundant light and spectacular views of the Arabian Gulf with floor to ceiling windows. There is a commendable butler service and the turn down attention was especially excellent. Wifi is not complimentary with the standard room rate.

Environment and Facilities:

The hotel is certainly not short on space. There are 9 dining venues and 8 event spaces for meetings and social occasions of every size. The restaurants include Mediterranean, Italian, Spaniard, Lebanese and Indian foods served in their traditional fare, but with modern interpretations. Collections of wine and cigars allow for some special comforts within the hotel too. The pool area is set up several floors above the street level and it serves more like a private oasis than a panoramic spot. One can bask in cabana shade while enjoying the artistic display of palms planted amidst the pool waters. The exercise facilities are stocked with the best equipment and the most refreshing amenities.

Staff and Service:

The staff make the experience very personalized and it is evident they are well trained about the hotels standards of service. What is more everyone gives the impression of genuine happiness and enjoyment in their work. There seem to be no limits to the bottled water they will give you or the amount of nespresso refills, everything is taken care of and in order. All requests were handled immediately and efficiently. The concierge was very knowledgable in assisting with nearby golf and beach outings too.
