Travelers to Sharm el Sheikh have some of the best resort options and hotel competition at their leisure in Egypt’s Red Sea coast. The newly rebranded Monte Carlo Hotel is the former Ritz Carlton property in an area called Um el Sid. It is conveniently just 20 minutes from the airport and even closer to attractions like Il Mercado and Naama Bay.
The changeover came in March 2014, since that time it that the new hotel has kept many of its facilities in normal service. The quality of service as attested to by guests many of whom experienced the hotel previously remains on par, although some have mentioned a shortage of personnel.
The hotel has a long and winding driveway which leads guests away from the busy ocean road and onto a peninsula type landscape where one gets the sensation of being alone. A welcoming pool and a lazy river flow across the wide property offering solace from the ever present heat.
There are 321 rooms in the hotel overall. WiFi is freely accessible in all areas of the hotel. The overall look is simple luxury with touches of Egyptian elegance. Guests can choose from over 7 dining outlets. The Pyramid Bar and Grill as well as the lobby lounge are good places for drinks with a nice atmosphere and entertainment.
