A stylish and stunning urban retreat awaits visitors to the Phoenix downtown in the form of the Renaissance. Location is the premiere draw as it is located within walking distance from the massive convention center, lively nightlife and historic metropolitan of Phoenix. Perhaps it is the bright sun and bland tones of the surrounding desert, but the hotel’s first impression is striking as it is wonderfully colorful and plush.
Transit to the hotel is a breeze since it is just a four mile drive from here to the airport. One doesn’t have to rely on taxi’s either. The light rail transit arrives just outside the entrance and it provides quick and economic transport between here and the airport. Prices in the hotel can vary depending on the season, but overall it is a good value for money. Those enrolled in Marriott rewards programs can take advantage of the benefits and amenities promised. More often than not it is a business hotel, but that doesn’t make it unfriendly. In fact the opposite is true, staff from check in to concierge to restaurant staff are sociable and ready to lend a hand or give a suggestion about places to see or things to do both inside and outside the hotel.
Many hotel guests and visitors alike rave about the lobby. It is stylish and ornate with a modern twist. The Icon bar and lobby restaurant are an ideal place for after hours chats, business meetings and an overall chill place to unwind. The hotel is truly service oriented and the staff are at the ready to answer questions even when they assuredly handle many guests every day. Rooms are of good quality and live up to the same designs one can behold in the lobby. There are ample amenities and the entire atmosphere makes for a comfortable stay. As in any major city parking is always an issue and the hotel charges $23 USD per day. Nearby parking garages may be a more economic option.
The 19th floor is the site of the elevate lounge and there are rooms on this floor as well. Lounge service is excellent and the place truly serves as a fantastic loft from which to enjoy the unique furnishings and city views. Social events and meetings are wonderfully provided for as the artistic and pleasant ballrooms are just exploding with color and unique features. There is a heated rooftop outdoor pool area upon which one can enjoy a pleasant day of sun and dry air no matter what the season. The fitness center is as well in good standing having been recently renovated and it has something for everyone.
All things considered the Renaissance downtown Phoenix is a competitive property in an upscale market. The strengths of the hotel are its friendly personnel and attention to service details. The accessibility to downtown attractions and business venues is a major plus too.
