The environs of downtown Indianapolis are bustling with visitors, business relations and shopping of all kinds. It is a well formed inner city, one complete with major hotels and world class restaurants centered around the sports stadiums and the massive convention center, it is a city of gatherings.
The JW Marriott stands out on this impressive lineup because it looks and is stunningly new. The bluish glass fascade of thirty plus floors set next to the Lucas oil stadium, a national park and state capital has great urban appeal for a modern structure. The hotel is connected by the efficient raised walkway to all of the other major downtown hotels, convention center and four other Marriott hotels in the same development.
The hotel is impressive both inside and out for its grandiose use of space. Its not a fascade wither, this is the biggest JW Marriott in the United States and has one of the biggest Marriott property ballrooms in the world. It is a great property for conventions, meetings, exhibits and social occasions. The interior lobby has a large bar area and one of its two major restaurants complete with ample sitting and check in space for the large numbers of groups coming in and out. The value placed on singular customer service and attention is all the more impressive when one realizes just how many people are staying at this hotel at any given moment.
Parking is a luxury in this part of the city and so whether one does self parking or valet it is charged. The wifi in the lobby is free but in rooms it is chargeable unless one is a rewards member. Rooms feature the REVIVE bedding system, big flat screen TV’s , plenty of towels, soft linen and spectacular views. Rooms were clean and furnishings have that modern and sharp look. Not necessarily the most luxurious of comfortable of any five star hotel but stylish and pleasant to look at. Rooms have coffee and tea makers and come in double, king and various suite sizes.
For Gold and Platinum members and those paying access to the lounge it is a worthwhile endeavor. The lounge is spacious and alluring on the panoramic 31st floor. Breakfast and snack services go one in the earlier part of the day, and generous appetizer and drink services commence in the evening. The lounge is open seven days a week. The gym and relaxation facilities occupy a dedicated space on the second floor with plenty of modern equipment and refined workout seetings.
Indianapolis has wonderful gastronomy and shopping venues all around, but some of the better and trendy venues can be found right in the hotel. High Velocity is the booming sports bar that occupies the lobby level. It is a popular venue in town that loves its sports. With so many TV’s and creative manifestations of traditional snacks its impossible not to have a good time. Osteria Pronto is the second full service restaurant on site which serves thematic Italian food with culinary skill and an impressive wine list too. All things considered the JW Indianapolis will have your needs covered, but it has so much to explore and enjoy, one probably won’t have time to see it all.
