There is a small reception lobby on the street level with proper doormen and staff who greet with a smile. A quick ride in the elevator brings one to the more relaxed and lavish lobby complete with artwork, quiet places to relax, event and conference rooms and a scenic restaurant and gift shop.

 

Allium is the stylish and trendy restaurant which is the hotel’s only gastronomic offering besides room-service. It is founded on principles of freshness and farm to table dishes which reflect the rich agricultural heritage of the Midwest. Views from any angle of the hotel allow one to look out on the vast skyline and the shores of lake Michigan.

Rooms are light in design with lots of modern style furniture and colorful additions of artwork and upholstery. The hotel boasts a mid-20th-century French décor theme. Rooms come abundantly furnished and spacious. Toiletries include bath products by L’occitane set in the backdrop of marble decorated bathrooms with soaking tubs and elegant sinks. Rooms are completely wired for all modern technology, WiFi and state of the art entertainment systems. Most importantly the beds invite one to happy repose.

 

The Spa and Fitness Club is an escape within an escape. The fitness facilities are open 24-hours and the Spa is open from 8am till 9pm every day.  The fitness room is spacious at 2,300 sq. feet, equipped with all sorts of cardio, weight and cross training equipment. There is a sauna, steam room and whirlpool for relaxation and recovery as well. The Spa has a full offering of massages, detoxification techniques, treatments and packages available to guests and walk ins. The 50 foot indoor swimming pool is a true novelty with is picturesque environs of a domed glass ceiling complete with Roman columns and trimming.
